how much can you tolerate?

Posted : Friday, November 25, 2005 by johnybravo at 2:57 pm

Thats the question you need to ask yourself if youre staying in this country. How much can you tolerate? Everything is snail slow except for the psycho minibus drivers and that has even been removed. When i say everything i`m referring to the government and their system, how things are run and their mentallity.

What was the longest you ever waited to get your passport or identification card done? 30 minutes?(HELL NO), 1 hour?(NOT EVEN A CHANCE), 2 hours?(PRAY YOUR LUCKY STARS), 3 hours?(YOUR LUCKY IS AS GOOD AS STRIKING THE LOTTERY), is it 4 - 5 hours? or MORE?

How long does it take to call your name, input your data, verify it and get your photo taken? Why does it always take so damn blardy long? And why does it all close during lunch hour? The government sector seen by many as unproductive and inefficient. Even with the installation of new technology and high-tech equipment they are still slow. Why is the mentallity of those working in these sectors so behind time? Don't they know that time = money and money = time. You have to waste one whole working day just to get either passport or identification card done.

Why do we have to waste so much of our time when it can be spent doing more productive work which equals to more money gained and less time wasted!!!!!

Imagine the I/C department can only process 200 - 300 applicants a day only not more but less. It takes them longer than an 1 hour to process less than 50 applicants. I know there are many people out there who share this frustration with me that it is time wasting and mentally it PISSES THE HELL OUT OF YOU. People with this sort of mentallity manning these counters, there is really little anyone of us can do but just sit and wait our sorry ass's that our system is so screwed up.

That's not the worst. When my wife went to change her MyKad, she wanted to check the details of her driving license, which they stupidly put in as well, the staff, dahlah muka masam, didn't want to layan and was rude. I'm hoping that one day, these people will need something from me, and I'll return the favour

Underpaid = governments fault, not the taxpayers fault :)

I`m sure there are alot of ppl being underpaid but the job still has to be done.
